Plain-language privacy

Privacy Policy

LoL Classic Wiki is a static information site with no account system, comment form, newsletter signup. The production site includes Google AdSense verification code. Optional Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity scripts run only after an explicit analytics choice.

Effective and last updated

Information you submit

The site itself does not ask for a name, email address, Riot account, password, payment detail, or gameplay profile. Do not submit sensitive or private information through a public correction tracker.

Consent and local preference storage

Optional analytics are denied by default. Before you choose, the site does not request GA4 or Clarity scripts and does not set their cookies. Selecting “Accept analytics” permits analytics storage only; selecting “Reject analytics” keeps optional analytics off.

Your analytics choice is stored in this browser's local storage under classicmodeguide_consent, together with a consent-policy version and update time. This first-party preference lets the site remember your choice. It is not used to measure visits or build a profile.

Language preference

When you explicitly choose English, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, or Turkish, the site may store classicmodeguide_language in local storage. It only remembers the interface language you selected. It is not used for advertising or profiling, and it does not grant analytics consent.

Google Analytics 4

When both the production analytics switch and your consent are active, Google Analytics 4 may process visited pages, referral information, approximate location derived from network information, browser and device characteristics, and basic interaction events. LoL Classic Wiki uses this information to understand aggregate site use and improve navigation and content.

Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google signals, and ad-personalization signals remain disabled. See how Google uses information from partner sites and the Google Privacy Policy.

Google AdSense site verification

The production site includes the Google AdSense site-verification script for publisher ca-pub-3485793619592385 and publishes the matching authorized-seller record at /ads.txt. Selected content pages also load a labelled native banner from Effective CPM Network. Requesting Google's verification script or the native-banner script may disclose routine network and browser information to those providers.

If AdSense approves the site and ad serving is enabled later, Google and approved advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device or browser information, and related identifiers to deliver, limit, measure, or personalize ads according to applicable consent and settings. This site's current consent implementation keeps ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization denied. Before personalized ads are served in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the publisher must configure a Google-certified TCF consent management platform. See Google's partner-sites disclosure, Google's Privacy Policy, and AdSense consent requirements.

Microsoft Clarity

When both the production analytics switch and your consent are active, Microsoft Clarity may process page views, clicks, scrolling, navigation, browser and device characteristics, and visual session-replay information. LoL Classic Wiki uses these diagnostics to find broken layouts and confusing interactions. Clarity advertising storage remains denied.

LoL Classic Wiki does not provide account, payment, or form-entry fields for Clarity to record. Microsoft controls its own processing and retention under the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity consent documentation.

Changing or withdrawing consent

Use “Cookie Settings” in the footer at any time. Rejecting analytics updates Google and Clarity consent to denied, removes GA4 and Clarity cookies that this site can control, and prevents their scripts from loading on later page views. Withdrawal does not erase information a provider lawfully processed before consent was withdrawn; provider privacy processes apply to that data.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel and its network providers may process routine request data such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, device or browser information, and security events to deliver and protect the site. Their own policies and retention practices apply.

External links

The guide links to Riot Games, Tencent, YouTube, and other first-party references. Following a link takes you to that service, where its own privacy terms apply. LoL Classic Wiki does not control those services.

Children and game accounts

LoL Classic Wiki does not operate League accounts or collect age information. Account, eligibility, parental-control, and game-service questions should be handled through the relevant official Riot or Tencent support channel.

Policy changes and questions

Material privacy changes will be dated on this page. Do not share credentials, private identifiers, or other sensitive information through public issue trackers.
